Welcome to King Prince Barbecue: A Hidden Gem in St. Louis
Nestled at 2700 Union Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63113, King Prince Barbecue is a takeout spot that promises comfort and flavor. Known for their delectable offerings in the realm of burgers, chicken wings, and sandwiches, this establishment does not simply serve food; it serves an experience that invites diners to indulge in classic barbecue flavors.
As a food reviewer of Foodjoyy, I had the pleasure of diving into the culinary delights that King Prince Barbecue has to offer, and I can confidently say it lives up to its reputation. Here are some highlights you can expect:
The atmosphere may be simple and geared towards takeout, yet this adds to the charm. The buzz of customers eagerly awaiting their orders creates a lively backdrop, reminiscent of a true neighborhood gathering place. The staff, highlighted by a particularly attentive older woman, adds warmth to the experience, making it easy to overlook the restaurant's humble ambiance.
While there are quirks, such as an extra charge for sauce on the side and navigating the flow of the busy space, these minor details do little to detract from the overall experience. Rather, they make your journey to savor outstanding barbecue all the more memorable. Redgie B.'s insight into the cleanliness and quality of food reinforces that this barbecue treasure is worth another visit.
In a world hungry for authentic barbecue, King Prince Barbecue stands as a testament to the genre. Whether you're on the hunt for a quick takeout or planning a more leisurely visit, every bite promises a burst of flavor that beckons for more. I look forward to my next trip to this incredible spot, where passion and flavor reign supreme.

Don’t miss out on King Prince Barbecue when you're in St. Louis — this is where good food awaits you!
“ This was my 1st time visiting this takeout restaurant. The restaurant is nice and clean. I ordered the rib tips and snoots. The rib tips were cut too small for my liking, but they were good. The snoots were good as well. What I didn't like however, is they charge extra money to have your bbq sauce on the side. ”
“ I was in the mood for rib tips and ventured out to King Prince. Look, these BBQ spots in rough areas are not usually known for ambiance and service but for good f*kn BBQ. This is one of those spots. You're going to go in, pick up your food, and head out. They don't take phone orders. Likely because of people not coming to pick up and pay. I called first and was told I can order online. I did. Half an hour later I parked on the side street and walked in. It was a busy Saturday afternoon. It was a little confusing as to the wait line and the order line. People were waiting inside and out, and order numbers are called over a muffled speaker. A really sweet older woman was bringing out orders and calling names. You have to be a little assertive to ask for an update on your order. I asked her and she recognized my name and went to grab my order. She goes through what the order consists of and shows you in the bag. There is a sign that says if you walk out the door and your order is wrong, not their fault. The large rib tips with $1.25 extra for the sauce on the side was $28 including tax. Huge portion - had to be over 2lbs. The photo I post is after I'd already eaten about four pieces. The tips were large, meaty and had a delicious dry rub. I like to dip my tips in sauce but the dry rub was delicious without. Will definitely go back now that I know the pick up system better. For me, worth the stop. I personally would not go alone at night. ”
